| Information on the AARC Collection
The entire collection of materials in the African American Resource Center is reference.
Materials in this collection do
not circulate and have to be used in-house. The collection consists of juvenile and young adult nonfiction,
adult
nonfiction, fiction of popular African American authors, and reference material.
The AARC also has a collection of educational resources that is used by the NOPL system.
These resources consist of pamphlets and handouts on African Americans, an exhibit on the Civil Rights
Movement,
videos on African Americans and Afrocentric posters.
