Last month we used the pages of the Daily Picayune newspaper to provide some quick looks at what was going on in New Orleans a century ago. We noted then that the Picayune would later merge with the Times-Democrat (itself a union between the former New Orleans Times and New Orleans Democrat to form today's Times-Picayune. So this month we present scans from the Times-Democrat in order to provide a glimpse of life in the Crescent City during the month of December, one-hundred years ago.
